
The capital of Turia bids farewell to the national tour of this pioneering project that promotes diversity as a driver of tourism transformation.
Valencia, September 26, 2025 - The city of Valencia has put the finishing touch to the national tour of the LGBTI Experiences Guide Tourism Spain, an innovative digital platform that connects travelers with destinations, certified tourism companies and experiences for its commitment to the inclusion, diversity and hospitality responsible. The presentation was held at Deseo54, one of the most emblematic cultural and leisure spaces in the city.
The event began with a speech by Alejandro Villalobos, project coordinator, who thanked those present for their attendance and spoke about the importance of the Experience Guide.

The event concluded with a family photo and a closing cocktail, which served as a space for networking and celebration, marking the closing of a tour that has visited key cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Torremolinos, Bilbao, Logroño, Maspalomas, Seville and now Valencia.

The guide is a interactive and geolocalized webapp which recommends accommodations, restaurants, activities and tourism experiences certified for their commitment to inclusion. Its accessible design and its focus on the traveler's experience seek to build trust, safety and connection.
The project is led by Queer Destinationstogether with the following entities ACOGAT, Axel Hotels, Meliá, Respira Comunicación and ShangayThe project is supported by the Secretary of State for Tourism and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism through the European Next Generation EU funds.
In its final phase of development, the guide has already contributed to the training of more than 1,800 tourism professionals, the awareness of more than 300 companies and the direct benefit of more than 200,000 travelers.
With Valencia as the last stop, the LGBTI Experiences Guide to Tourism Spain culminates a national tour that has placed Spain at the forefront of inclusive tourism, consolidating its leadership as a diverse, innovative and sustainable destination at the international level.
